About the Practitioners

Melinda Joy Miller founded the Shambhalla Institute in 1991. She is a master in feng shui, geomancy and reiki, with an extensive background as a sensory integration therapist, cultural anthropologist and medicine woman. She began her study of geomancy in 1974 and continued her taining in feng shui with Master Lin Yun. Her work has been recognized by National Public Radio, Feng Shui for Modern Living and Modern Bride, and has twice graced the cover of the Philadelphia Daily News.
Melinda Joy has hosted the Feng Shui Hotline on WCHE Radio, produced nine feng shui and environmental conferences and gained worldwide publicity for choosing the new location for the Philadelphia Eagle's sports arena in 2000.

Kim Colwell, partner, is a second generation feng shui master andeco-friendly interior designer with a BFA from NYU. She has been interviewed on Fox and Wellness Television, and her work has been featured in JCK Luxury, Rapaport Diamond Report, Women's Wear Daily, Working Nurse and National Jeweler.
Both Melinda Joy and Kim facilitate consultations, training and retreats in Los Angeles, Vancouver and Orlando and are available internationally upon request.
