Shamanic Gardening Class
Melinda Joy Miller, instructor, incorporates her background in gardening, permaculture and herbology with new technologies in water conservation and healthy soil.
Being offered this year at the Omega Institute, June 11-15, 2012, students will receive valuable information on the medicinal properties of herbs and flowers, how to plant more effectively with less work, incredible edibles and companion planting. With a dynamic mix of lecture, handouts, demonstration and hands-on projects you will learn how to install a sustainable back yard garden and the basics of waterwise container gardening.

Along with folklore from New Mexico, we will explore fascinating Native American, Aztec and Spanish influences in sustainable gardening. Through a creative mix of lecture, demonstration, and hands-on experience, you will learn how to garden more effectively, new conservation technologies and shamanic rituals that will deepen your relationship with the earth and your garden.
